I am Hannah Lynn and I have a passion for helping people understand their bodies.
My journey to wellness began around puberty when I first began to feel awkward, self conscious, and downright hateful about my body. I was in pain: my joints hurt (knees and lower back), I was tired all the time, I smelled bad, I hated walking up stairs or doing anything that might have me raise my heart rate or break a sweat; I had low self confidence, anxiety disorders, and generally I did not like myself. I took my first yoga classes when I was 11 years old; at that time, I was the only 11 year old I knew with chronic joint pain. I began to seek out alternative wellness approaches and at some point, I decided to believe that I was designed to feel good in my own skin. From there, I set out on a journey to heal and reconnect to my body.
I found that the way forward toward a healthy relationship with my body was through a deeper understanding about what my body was actually up to. In learning about anatomy and postural patterning, I began to learn the ‘why’s’ of my pain. With this growing awareness, I began to feel empowered to make sustainable, positive changes in the way I cared for my physical form and now I have a totally different experience of what’s it’s like to be in my body. I am committed to being in my body and I trust that the answers are always within. I feel confident and at ease here in my body and I can help you get there, too.
I studied at the Boulder College of Massage therapy and discovered my inner anatomy geek. I learned the ins and outs about mechanics and function, posture and pain. I got my first yoga certification shortly after massage school. In my 10 years in private practice I cultivated, refined, and polished my offerings to bring you the best of what I have to offer in education, practice, and loving attention. I can help you drop into empowered embodiment through a deeper, experiential understanding of what you are made of. When working with me you can expect a combination of technical education about the mechanics of the body you are in, combined with functional applications of self care techniques, and postural alignment cues for everyday circumstances.
My clients consistently report coming in with a feeling of not knowing what's going on with their pain and leaving with a deeper understanding of their bodies and tools to their own empowered embodiment.
